Dancing With The Love Your Liver Campaign!

On Sunday 12th February Oliver - the mascot for the Love Your Liver campaign - competed in the inaugural St Kilda Festival Mascot Dance-Off. Despite having all the smooth moves, plus a killer backing song (Love Your Liver by Criston Barker) he was bested in a popular vote by the Cornetto Bear. Conspiracy theories abounded but Ollie was gracious in defeat, accepting that the Bear was just better on the day. Despite the loss, Ollie enjoyed his time in front of about 4000 people on the main stage, and enjoyed meeting other mascots, especially Sid the Seagull from the SunSmart Program and Zooper Man from the Melbourne Zoo.

The whole event was recorded for TV by the ABC for "Adam Hills: In Gordon St Tonight". So tune in tonight at 8:30pm on ABC1 to check out some of Ollie’s moves and some of the backstage action with all the mascots.
