Join Shane Laffy in a celebration of music and life

Donate Life Shane Laffy is a 35 year veteran of the music industry and has spent the past decade working in community television in Victoria. Shane, who is 56 this year, also has hepatitis C and in 2004 needed a transplant to replace his failing liver. He has been using his new lease on life by living a much healthier lifestyle.

Apart from his music, Shane is very committed to raising awareness about hepatitis C and promoting the need for more Australians to sign up to organ donation.

To promote Donate Life Week (19 – 26 February) Shane has teamed up with his old friend Paul Stewart, from The Painters and Dockers, and others to reform their band ‘The Transplants’. The Transplants were one of several bands who performed in 2009 for the Rock For Hep Concert organised by Hepatitis Victoria.

The Transplants will be performing at a free concert this Sunday 19 February, at the Caravan Club in Oakleigh to mark Donate Life Week
