Everything you wanted to know about hepatitis C but didin't know who to ask!

Hepatitis C Training Programs: Hepatitis C Victoria offers both metro and rural training and education sessions. These happen periodically at Hepatitis C Victoria offices in Brunswick but can also be specifically tailored for individual organisations at their own location.

Hepatitis C Prevention In Practice

In partnership with Harm Reduction Victoria

Date:March 23, 9.30am-4.00pm

This workshop is designed to improve the capacity of organisations and workers who ahve contact with young people at risk of hepatitis C.

Key issues:

  • social, cultural and individual factors that impact upon young people who are at risk of hepatitis C or are living with hepatitis C
  • way to engage young people and implement hepatitis C interventions
  • support and treatment options for young people
  • safer injecting practices

HCV - What's New?

A great way of keeping up with new information.

These one and a half hour updates on hepatitis C issues will enhance your skills and knowledge in relation to clients, organisations and/or work practises.

Insights - Hepatitis C in Indigenous communites

Date: March 24, 3.00 - 4.30pm

Overview of research undertaken by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health & Society.

Key issues:

  • An overview of research that investigated the barriers to hepatitsi C treatment for Indigenous communities in Victoria
  • Recommendations for responding effectively to the needs of Indigenous people living with hepatitis C.
