Whilst working across all areas, Hepatitis C Victoria
responds to the specific needs of those most at risk of
hepatitis C, employing skilled educators to resource
those who work more specifically with;

Educational workshops
Hepatitis C Victoria offers a range of education and
training options, and all our educational workshops
aim to achieve the following objectives:

Increase understanding of hepatitis C as a
public health issue |
| • |
Identify transmission risks within a broader social
context, such as cultural background, gender, age
and socio-economic status |
| • |
Increase access to hepatitis C testing, treatment
and counselling services |
| • |
Explore and identify psychosocial issues for people
living with hepatitis C and their support networks |
| • |
Promote positive health outcomes for people
living with hepatitis C |
| • |
Challenge individual attitudes and broader societal
structures that stigmatise and discriminate against
people affected by hepatitis C. |
Individualised sessions
Our educators will tailor education and training
sessions based on the size of the group and the
needs of the participants.
‘It’s Bloody Serious’ training
"It's Bloody Serious" is a three-hour introductory workshop held at Hepatitis C
Victoria throughout the year. Learn about hepatitis C
(transmission, symptoms and testing), psychosocial
impact, treatment options and issues for people who
inject drugs.
Cost: $20 fee to cover administration costs
Hepatitis C Discussion
Forums
Discussion forums are aimed at people working
in the community health and welfare sector, providing
opportunities for networking and critical discussion
on key topics.
Sessions start at 3.00pm.
